Peekskill Man Arrested on Shoplifting Charge in Yorktown
Police said more that $1,300 was stolen.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Peekskill man was arrested by for shoplifting more than $1,300 worth of merchandise from Macy’s.
Police said Arthur G. Stokeley Jr., 18, of Brandreth Street, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.
On. Nov. 12, around 5:55 p.m., police got a call from the Macy’s at Jefferson Valley Mall reporting shoplifters fleeing the store.

An investigation found that three unidentified females and Stokeley stole assorted merchandise valued at $1,383.96, police said.
The women were not able to be located, but Stokeley was found just outside of Macy’s in the mall.

He was taken to police headquarters for processing and released to a parent on $300 bail.
Stokeley is scheduled to return to Yorktown Justice Court Dec. 8, 2016.
