The storm, one of the most severe to impact the Mid-Hudson Valley, damaged 130 Central Hudson poles.

Progress is being made in restoring electricity to people in the Hudson Valley. As of Monday morning, 102,000 are still without power, which is down from almost 122,000 Sunday night. The four major power companies in the region have been joined by out-of-state crews and contractors to remove and replace downed wires and get people back on the grid. Time is of the essence because another nor’easter is being forecast to hit the Hudson Valley Tuesday night through late Wednesday night.
Customers of Con Edison in Westchester County saw about 9,000 households restored since Sunday night.
