Revolutionary Brass Quintet

Saturday, July 30, at 8:00 pm - Presenting a new program of works, including a work by David Amram and a world premier.

Members of the returning Revolutionary Brass Quintet, have played with the Boston Symphony, the Royal and Bolshoi Ballet orchestras, with Harry James, Frank Sinatra, Donna Summers, Blood Sweat and Tears, at the Presidential Inaugural Ball, The Emmy Awards, and the legendary Willam Vacchiano of the New York Philharmonic.

Their 2016 program brings an entirely new selection of works with an ecelctic mixture from Johann Pachelbel (17th Century) and Samual Barber (20th Century) to Duke Ellington favorites.

Of special note is the inclusion of the work, Fanfare, by world renown composer David Amram, who is currently the composer in residence for the New York Chamber Music Fesitval. Mr. Amram plans to be in attendance.

In addition they will debut a world premier by the internationally recognized award-winning composer Jens Wendelboe who is also a member of the group.

Midhat Serbagi, founder of the Friends of Classical Music and former violist for the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, will also make a guest appearance.

This event is presented by the Friends of Classical Music of Arts on the Lake.

The performance is at the Sedgewood Club, and while tickets will be available at the door, we ask you to please purchase tickets in advance.

The Sedgewood Boathouse is located at 1026 Barrett Circle West, Kent NY 10512.

For Friends of Classical Music this performance is included in your series subscription. AotL members and students are eligible for discounted tickets.
