Schoolhouse Theater Books New Stand-Up Comics For April 10th Comedy Night
Adam Oliensis brings LoHud Comedy Back to Croton Falls

Following several sold-out performances in its standup comedy series, The Schoolhouse Theater has scheduled three new comics for LoHud Comedy Night, Friday, April 10, at 8 pm. The Schoolhouse Theater is located at 3 Owens Road, just off Route 22 in Croton Falls.
“The success of our previous comedy nights has shown us how excited the community is to be able to see professional comedians without having to venture into New York City,” said interim Schoolhouse Artistic Director, Patrick Denny.
Organized in conjunction with Adam Oliensis, the April 10 comedy night will feature professional comics Simon Khatri, George Saltz, and Tony Jackson. Collectively, they have honed their craft on Broadway Comedy Club, on late night TV, and comedy clubs across the United States and Canada.

Drawing from his unique insights as an East Indian-American and a psychiatrist, Simon Khatri brings a distinctive perspective to his standup comedy. He has appeared on the Laughs TV show and been featured in the New York Times. He performs regularly in New York City, and has made audiences laugh throughout America, Canada, and India.
George Saltz is a retired clinical psychologist who grew up in the Hasidic community of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. He only started doing standup comedy in 2014 but has been cracking jokes his whole life. Saltz cut his performing teeth at the Gotham Writers comedy workshop surrounded by would-be performers, many of whom have barely cracked the ripe old age of 30. Suffice to say, Saltz’ upbringing and profession are the basis of his routines –George Burns-style.

Tony Jackson considers himself to be the black nerd of comedy. Originally from Texas, Jackson is a software engineer by trade. He did his first standup open mic in 2011 and has not looked back since. He’s appeared at Gotham Comedy Club and on MTV, NBC and Comedy Central.
Tickets for Comedy Night at the Schoolhouse are $20 and may be purchased online at www.schoolhousetheater.org or by phone to (914) 277-8477. The last two stand-up comedy nights have sold out. Early ticket purchase is recommended.
