Shame On Mohegan Lake Motors
They received a violation from Yorktown on July 2nd, and have not complied with the order.
In some parts of Westchester, they have pleasant pop-up restaurants. In Yorktown--it seems--we have pop-up used car dealerships where restaurants used to be. Hopefully not for long
Mohegan Lake Motors recently built a new car dealership down the road. A couple weeks ago they thought it was a good idea to start an illegal used car dealership on their neighbor’s land. It’s an eyesore and in-congruent with the Town’s vision for that exact intersection, as laid out in the town’s master planning document, The Comprehensive Plan. Perhaps they can work out a deal to park them during the day on the town owned land we just gave away to The Winery.
It’s good to see the town taking an active role in activities such as these that not only our property values, but just show an utter lack of respect for the community. Ultimately it will likely come down to enforcement. We will see if Yorktown stands up for it’s homeowners or continues to let Mohegan Lake Motors detract from not only our home values, but out community spirit. I’m betting they do, thanks to the quick action of code enforcement office Zeif.
