Shrub Oak Plaza Offers "Deal Week" to its Customers
"Deal Week" runs from March 1 to March 7.
Business owners from the Shrub Oak Plaza have gotten together to offer a "Deal Week" to its customers between March 1 and March 7.
The idea came up when Ray Carile, the owner of a cross fit training studio , started seeing announcements about the upcoming restaurant week and he too wanted to offer something to customers and introduce other people to their businesses.
"Sometimes in Yorktown people who live outside of one of the hamlets do not visit the local businesses in the other hamlets," he said. "We thought it would be helpful to introduce ourselves to other people in the community. Typically people start coming out again in March so we thought that this would give them an added incentive to visit and try us."

"We all thought that by doing this as a group, we could all help each other out and show ourselves off," Carile said. "The last two years have been hard on all small businesses and we hope this would help to jump start things."
