With assistance from the Westchester County Fire Cause and Origin Team, police determined a flammable accelerant was spread in several areas of the home.
Police were able to track down the vehicle based on a vague description and identify Healy as the suspect who deliberately set the house on fire with gasoline.
The homeowner and Healy did not know each other.
Healy was arraigned in the Town of North Salem Court and released on $2,000 bail.
He is scheduled to reappear in court Jan. 9.
