Speed Stop Results in Felony DWI for Yorktown Resident

On Feb. 17, New York State police arrested 28-year-old Melissa Yambo of Yorktown, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony.

Troopers stopped Yambo for speeding on East Main Street in Cortlandt. Following an investigation conducted by the arresting officer, Yambo was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Yambo provided a breath sample that yielded a Blood Alcohol Content of .17 percent and was issued traffic tickets directing her to appear before the Town of Cortlandt Justice Court on Feb. 22.
