Stalked by Democratic Tracker, Oliva Demands Tapes from Maloney Campaign
The state party fired its operative after the story broke.

Phil Oliva, the Republican, Conservative and Reform Party candidate for the 18th Congressional District, is angry about the New York Democratic Party operative said to have been stalking him and his family.
Now Oliva wants Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-Cold Spring) to hand over to him all the raw and unedited video footage obtained by the tracker, who was fired last week.
The New York Post broke the story on Friday.

Oliva, a Westchester County government official, faces a primary June 28 against filmmaker Ken Del Vecchio, who is also seeking to challenge Maloney, a two-term congressman, in November.
“I had a few encounters with this individual as did my wife but we have no idea how long the guy was stalking us and what he recorded when we weren’t aware of his presence. I’m less concerned about me and more concerned about my wife and children and so I’d like to get all the video footage so it can be assessed. This is a very reasonable request in light of the situation and I hope it’s quickly granted,” Oliva said in a press release Monday.

According to Oliva, Yougourthen Ayouni admitted to contacting Oliva’s wife on Facebook and visiting the Oliva home in Somers, once startling the candidate’s wife as he peered through the kitchen window.
The family filed a harassment report with the Somers Police Department, according to the NY Post.
Ayouni was an employee of the New York State Democratic Party, whose executive director told the Post he had been fired.
"...contact with family members and spouses is strictly prohibited,” state Democratic Party director Basil Smikle told the Post in reference to another complaint from another GOP candidate.
Oliva said he also asked Maloney for all the memos, reports and other documentation Ayouni collected and distributed as per the job responsibilities stated on a job listing seeking Democratic trackers that was posted on:
