The Pyramid Model, when put into practice, helps to significantly reduce incidents of challenging behavior in young children. The Pyramid Model conference series presents detailed steps from setting the environment all the way to implementing effective strategies for children who require intensive intervention. This conference, when taken in its entirety, will provide the participants with the tools necessary to help prevent and manage challenging behavior encountered while providing care to children. It is an important initiative for all professionals in the area of early childhood education. Expulsion rates in preschools and day cares continue to climb as caregivers and teachers are unprepared to effectively address some of the behavior issues which are frequently encountered in this profession.
