The NYS Conservative party endorsed Terence Murphy in 2014 and 2016 and will most likely endorse him again in 2018.8.17
Their agenda for New York includes:
- A “flat tax” which favors the wealthy;
- No physician-assisted suicide, which only prolongs the suffering and pain of those in hopeless situations:
- Law enforcement techniques, such as profiling. Surveillance and stop-question-frisk, all which means discrimination;
- Fully support ICE, which has leaf to family breakups and illegal deportations;
- Expanding the number of Charter Schools in NYS, which reduces funds to public schools, asking citizens to pay for Private schools as well as public education;
- Oppose free college education, putting students in debt on graduation;
- Reject efforts to establish a “Dream Act”, although it breaks a contract with thousands;
- Engage in discrimination by refusing attempts to amend the Human Rights Law to include “transgender” as a special class of citizens;
- Reject any attempt to establish early voting or instant voter voter registration in NYS, discriminating against thousands;
- And lastly, making NYS a “right to work” state, a most unbelievable goal since hard-working union members have supported Terence Murphy while his conservative base seeks to destroy these unions.
On September 13th, I’m voting for Robert Kesten because he will fight against each and every one of the backward-looking objectives that favor the rick and special interests and hurt working people and unions.
