According to Helen Iral, the event coordinator, “A variety of activities are being planned that should appeal to all ages.” You can hike the trails on your own or take a tour guided by one of Hilltop Hanover’s farmers. Also, one can visit the farm stand, which opens that day. The farm stand staff will be selling some early organically grown crops picked from the farm’s five-acre vegetable garden. Honey, farm laid eggs, and other products will also be available for sale. In addition, visitors may purchase organic seedlings.
There will be an array of children’s games and activities. Initial plans include a scavenger hunt, water balloon contest, bean bag toss, and face painting. Plus, volunteers will be operating a craft’s table.

More activities, such as a tractor ride, and artisan booths, plus a wider range of food options will be available this year. Anchoring the various booths will be WHUD’s staff operating the prize wheel. Come on by early (11 to 1) to see if you can spin the wheel and win one of their prizes. Next to the prize wheel will be the Hilltop Hanover Farm’s membership table. All those who become members that day will also receive an additional chance on the WHUD prize wheel!
The activities will be ongoing so come any time between 10 and 4. The Farm is located at 1271 Hanover Street – five minutes from downtown Yorktown Heights.
