Town Officials Visit Site of Future Development (Photos)

Town officials visit State Land, the area on Rt. 202 which will be developed into a commercial area.

After town board members met with developers and members of the Chamber of Commerce in of the 100-acre development on Route 202, they visited the site this Friday. The project's location is also known as State Land, and it is located opposite Parkside Corner and Grandma's Restaurant.

The project would generate taxes, with no impact on the school system, and create construction jobs as well as permanent jobs, . 

, 35 acres of the property will be developed for commercial use. The concept has called for a large plaza and a landscaped area for patrons to walk, sit and enjoy their shopping experience. There will be big box retailer and two other smaller buildings.

On Friday, Sept. 30 public officials walked the area to get a feeling of the wooded property.
