TWO MEN AND A TRUCK MOVERS FOR MOMS COLLECTION ENDING MAY 1ST

COLLECTION FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN LOCAL SHELTERS

Though Mother’s Day is intended to be a joyous occasion for women across the country, thousands of moms will be overlooked on this special holiday because they are forced to live in shelters as a result of domestic abuse or homelessness. To ensure moms in crisis receive the love and appreciation they deserve on Mother’s Day, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK in MILLWOOD is hosting a MOVERS FOR MOMS collection drive for local women staying at HOPE’S DOOR Shelter located in Pleasantville, NY and MY SISTERS’ PLACE in Yonkers, NY.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK will be collecting various items to help women and children who escape domestic violence situations with nothing more then the clothes on their back. Examples of items to donate are toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, moisturizer, soap and deodorant. Other items such as nail polish, make-up, hair accessories and perfume that boost the overall spirit of these women are acceptable as well. All of the toiletries should be in NEW, UNOPENED condition. Because so many women arrive at shelters with babies and children in tow, additional supplies such as diapers (Pampers swaddlers size 1 & 2), baby powder, baby lotion, sippy cups, bottles, teethers, bibs, pacifiers and baby/children’s clothes are desperately needed as well. The children’s clothing may be used as long as they are clean.

You may donate items MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY from now through May 1st between the hours of 9:30am and 4:00pm at the following location:
