CENTRAL LABOR BODY AFL-CIO ENDORSES RANIOLO FOR RE-ELECTION

Organized labor interviews both candidates, backs incumbent

Yorktown NY, July 9 – Yorktown Judge Gary J. Raniolo’s reelection campaign received an important affirmation today with the endorsement from one of the area’s largest labor organizations, the Westchester / Putnam Central Labor Body AFL-CIO, which represents over 120,000 union members and working families in both Westchester and Putnam Counties and beyond.

After an extensive written and in-person interview process of both candidates for the Yorktown Town Justice position, Paul Ryan, union President said:

In order to have obtained the endorsement by the Westchester/Putnam Central Labor Body AFL CIO, you must have received a 2/3 vote of the delegate body present at the July 8th meeting.

For Judge Raniolo, this endorsement confirms his family’s strong labor roots. Judge Raniolo’s father John, was a mason, and later became his union’s Business Manager for the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, a position he held until his retirement. John was known for his fairness, honesty and integrity as well as his compassion for his fellow members, helping many who had been injured or had fallen on hard times. Judge Raniolo learned from his father the values of hard work, fairness and family values. Those lessons helped shape Judge Raniolo’s character as a person, as evidenced by his respectful demeanor and balanced judicial temperament.

In receiving this endorsement, Judge Raniolo was most appreciative and said, “Having the support of the Westchester / Putnam Central Labor Body AFL-CIO is an important recognition of both my performance as a Judge sitting on the Yorktown bench, and my relationship with the men and women that play a vital role in maintaining the Justice Court’s professional environment. I am honored and grateful for their support.”

In addition to this endorsement, Judge Raniolo has also been endorsed by the Yorktown Police Benevolent Association, the Yorktown Superior Officers Association, and the White Plains Police Benevolent Association
