Yorktown Ambulance Corps -- Serving, Recruiting

You can volunteer for one of the busiest in the region.

Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps, one of the busiest in the region, responded to a total of 1, 402 calls in 2015, said Richard J. Cariello, its captain.

The breakdown was 1,005 medical emergencies, 128 personal injury auto accidents and 269 standbys and other miscellaneous calls, he said.

“We are 100 percent volunteer and save the taxpayers of Yorktown a considerable amount of money,“ Cariello said. “We are totally independent, not on the tax rolls and receive no money from the town. We are proud to be able to provide this service to the residents of Yorktown and the people passing through our town that need our help.”
