Yorktown Gas Station Cashier Steals Money From Boss

He pilfered the cash by ringing up "no sale" transactions.

YORKTOWN, NY — A gas station employee was arrested in Yorktown for stealing from his employer.

Police said Willie L. Boyd Jr., 51, of East Post Road in White Plains was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Boyd was working as a cashier at the Sunoco A-Plus gas station at 3650 Lee Rd., and police said he stole $968.01 in cash from the business by conducting 157 “no sale” transactions on the store’s cash register.

Police said the thefts took place from Sept. 21, 2016, through Oct. 24, 2016.

Boyd was arrested at the Cortlandt Town Court by Yorktown Police Feb. 13 where he was appearing on an unrelated charge.

He was processed and sent to the Westchester County Department of Corrections in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Boyd is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Feb. 16.
