Yorktown Girl Scouts Honored
The Silver Award Ceremony was held at the Paramount Hudson Valley.
Julia Capshaw, Valerie Torrieri, and Gia Volpe from Yorktown Troop #1487 were honored by the Girl Scouts at the Silver Award Ceremony at the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater Nov. 21.
The Girl Scout Silver Award is the second highest award that girls earn in Girl Scouting.
Troop #1487 led by Jeannette Capshaw and Natalie Torrieri earned the award by volunteering their time to run arts and crafts projects at local nursing homes.
