Yorktown Grange Car Show Rescheduled for Sunday, July 12th

Postponed from June 28th

The 4th Annual Yorktown Grange Car Show, originally scheduled for Sunday, June 28th was postponed due to rainy weather, and will be held on Sunday, July 12th.

“We were ready to go last Sunday up to the night before, so the momentum is still going strong to put on a great show on Sunday, July 12th,” said Scott Nelsen, spokesman for the car show. “We’re expecting a great turnout – lots of vehicles on display, a DJ, great food, and hayrides around the fairgrounds for the kids.”

There will be vehicles representing every category -- antiques, classics, modern, muscle cars, and imports -- all competing for prizes and awards. All pre-registrations, sponsor passes, and vendor exhibitor spaces will be honored on July 12th.

Organizers are dedicating the proceeds from the show’s raffle to benefit Jaime Ferretti, a ten-year-old student at Ben Franklin Elementary School, who has been battling Ependymoma (pediatric brain tumors) since 2012. Despite their medical insurance coverage, the family is being crushed by medical costs.

“One upside of the postponement is it gives us more time to pre-sell 50/50 raffle tickets, which means more money to help Jaime and her family,” said Curt Chase, one of the founders of the car show.
