Yorktown Heights Man Accused of Driving Drunk, Had Open Container in Car
Police were called to the scene of an automobile accident.

YORKTOWN, NY — A 68-year-old Yorktown Heights man was arrested for allegedly driving drunk Jan. 10 after getting into a traffic accident.
Police said John M. Winget, of Croton Lake Road, was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content 0.08 percent or more, misdemeanors, and open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and failure to keep right, traffic infractions.
Officers were dispatched to an auto accident Jan. 10 around noon on Baptist Church Road.

Police said Winget was driving drunk. He was arrested at the scene and taken to Yorktown Police Headquarters.
Winget was released to a responsible party and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Jan. 24.
