Yorktown Highway Department Unveils New Website

Residents will have ways to get information via social media.

YORKTOWN, NY — The Yorktown Highway Department has launched a new website that aims to keep the public better informed.

Dave Paganelli, superintendent of the town’s highway department, said he promised to keep the lines of communication open with his fellow residents when he was councilman and when he was elected highway superintendent.

“Recognizing the significance of the Internet and social media in today’s world, I am launching a campaign that is aimed at narrowing the lines of communication between the department and town residents,” he said.

Paganelli said the site will streamline alerting to road work, weather emergencies and detours and will allow residents to report issues and concerns directly to the department.

“Basically, we are trying to move the department into the 21st century,” he said.
