Yorktown Man Faces Drug, Traffic Charges
Police said he was in possession of crack cocaine and marijuana.

YORKTOWN, NY — A 27-year-old Yorktown man faces drug charges from an arrest Friday.
Michael C. Cruz, of Beaver Drive, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Additionally, he was charged with traffic infractions of obstructed view, having tinted glass and speed not reasonable and prudent.

Police said Cruz was seen about 5:20 p.m. October 14 operating a motor vehicle while his view was obstructed and he was stopped on Suncrest Avenue.
An investigation found he had crack cocaine and some marijuana, police said.

Cruz was also said by police to have driving at a speed that was unreasonable due to having tinted glass.
He was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department where he was processed and released on $500 bail.
Cruz is scheduled to return to court November 17.
