Yorktown Students Remember Veterans with Valentines

Yorktown Central School District students make valentine cut-outs to thank, share love w/ local veterans in Hearts for Veterans project.

February 14, 2017 -- There are lots of important people in our lives to celebrate on Valentine’s Day. Students at Yorktown Central School District made a special effort to remember and send love to veterans.

The students decorated hand-cut paper pink and red hearts with artwork and writing kind sentiments -- and were pleased to show-off their nice creations.

The cards made by Yorktown students are slated for veterans at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx as part of Thank You Hearts for a Veteran project.
