Yorktown To Televise All Town Board Meetings

Some had concerns about people grandstanding during the work sessions.

YORKTOWN, NY — All meetings of the Yorktown town board will be televised. The board voted 3-2, along party lines, to televise the work sessions, which before had only been audio recorded.

While there was some concern about the public grandstanding on television, Supervisor Ilan Gilbert said he felt more good would be done by having the work sessions televised than negative effects, tapinto.net said.

Tom Sciangela, who has been recording the sessions before, will be recording the sessions and will receive $175 per meeting.
