Aberdeen Police say the incident appears isolated, have identified a suspect of interest, and used K‑9 units to search the area while assuring there’s no ongoing threat to the public. 
• Work continues on Midland Road project in Moore County (sandhillssentinel.com) — Road work continues this month on Midland Road in Moore County, including milling, resurfacing, and new lane configurations between U.S. 1, Airport Road, and Clark Street. Drivers from the Aberdeen area should expect periodic daytime lane closures and, once complete, a safer corridor with bike lanes, fresh pavement, and new landscaping where crossovers were removed.
