• Johnston County group home worker accused of sex crimes against child living at home: Warrants (cbs17.com) — An employee of a licensed group home in Angier has been arrested on multiple serious sex offense charges involving a juvenile resident, stemming from alleged crimes in April 2025. The suspect is being held without bond and is due back in Johnston County court in early May, raising concerns about oversight at local youth treatment facilities. 
• Second Arrest Made In Burglary; Charges Dropped Against First Suspect (jocoreport.com) — A woman with past ties to an Angier address has been arrested in connection with a 2025 Johnston County burglary, while charges against an Angier man previously accused in the case have been dropped for lack of evidence. The first suspect is already serving a lengthy prison sentence in unrelated habitual felon cases, and the burglary victim chose not to pursue further prosecution.
