• Sip and shop local: Wine Walk Asheville pours funds into Habitat for Humanity (wlos.com) — Downtown Asheville businesses just wrapped up the Wine Walk Asheville fundraiser, where 24 shops poured wine and offered snacks to raise money for Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity's rebuilding work after Helene. Organizers say the fourth annual event drew strong community support and they're already planning to return next year with an even bigger sip-and-shop experience. 
• John Baizley of Baroness Joining Mastodon's Live Lineup for Upcoming Tour (therockrevival.com) — Mastodon is bringing its Poisonous Weapons Tour to Asheville Yards on September 18, with Baroness frontman John Baizley now officially joining the band's live lineup. After a successful Atlanta warm-up, the group plans deeper cuts, lasers, and an expanded stage show, giving Asheville metal fans a rare chance to hear long-absent favorites in a more ambitious set.
