Bomb Threat Made Against Charlotte-Area High School
Hickory Ridge High School in Harrisburg was evacuated Tuesday morning after a bomb threat was found in a girl's bathroom.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Hickory Ridge High School in Harrisburg was evacuated Tuesday morning after a written threat was found in a girl’s bathroom. Scrawled across the crumpled paper in blue marker, it read, “Let’s make another Parkland High School.”
School officials evacuated the high school students to the local middle school as a precaution as they investigated the threat with local law enforcement. Students returned to class around 10:40 a.m. after the school was cleared, Fox 46 reported.
Parents went to the school to pick up their children after they saw word of the threat online, WSOC reported. “To have this happen here, you never think that you're going to be one of these parents but today -- and I know my girls are safe -- but that feeling did just show up with me and it shouldn't be happening in the U.S. It should not be happening," mother Requelle Mincey told the station.
