Night Ranger Shares New Tour Dates for 2027 (wearesierravista.com) — Night Ranger is bringing their 2026–27 tour to Cherokee with a show scheduled Nov. 21 at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort Event Center. The band, known for hits like “Sister Christian,” is mixing classic favorites with newer material as they extend their decades-long touring run across the country.

Local NC Cooperative Extension Agent Win Multiple Communication Awards at the 2026 North Carolina Association of County Agricultural Agents (NCACAA) — Neuse News (neusenews.com) — Cherokee recently hosted the state NCACAA conference where Lenoir County horticulture agent Paige Petticrew earned four communication awards. Her winning projects, including children’s StoryWalks and garden programs, showcase how Extension educators across North Carolina are using creative storytelling and photos to connect families with gardening, healthy eating, and local agricultural history.

4. Drought Monitor: Lake Lure receives most rain in single day since Helene hit 2 years ago (wlos.com) — Cherokee residents are currently classified as “abnormally dry,” just one step better than full drought, as recent heavy rains eased conditions across much of western North Carolina. While Lake Lure saw the biggest single-day rainfall since 2024’s Helene, most of the state remains in some stage of drought, so officials are still watching rainfall and water levels closely.

5. 2025-26 EBCI Royalty Farewells (theonefeather.com) — EBCI’s 2025–26 Miss Cherokee royalty share heartfelt farewell messages as they wrap up a year of representing their people at the Cherokee Indian Fair and beyond.
