• N.C. 403accidentkills 1 (clintonnc.com) — A Clinton woman was killed early Tuesday in a head-on collision on N.C. 403 near Auctioneer Road, marking the 14th traffic fatality in Sampson County this year. Troopers say her northbound car struck a southbound pickup, overturned, and ejected her; she died en route to Wake Medical Center, while the other driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
   

• Cumberland County NC Cooperative Extension welcomes new livestock agent (bizfayetteville.com) — A Sampson County native raised on a farm outside Clinton, Reagan Bustabad has been hired as the new livestock agent for Cumberland County Cooperative Extension. With degrees from NC State and a master’s from the University of Tennessee, she brings strong experience in ruminant nutrition, forage research, and Extension programming back to the region’s agricultural community.
