Where to Find a Food Pantry in Concord NC — and What to Bring
Six pantry locations serve Concord and Cabarrus County, each with its own hours and rules. Where they are and what to bring.
Finding a food pantry in Concord is not usually the hard part. The hard part is that every pantry keeps different hours, several are only open one morning a week, one stops at the first twenty-five families, and a few sit across the county line in Kannapolis or Midland. Show up on the wrong day and you have spent gas money for a locked door. So this is the practical version: who is open when, what they ask for, and what to do if getting there is the barrier.
The main door is Cooperative Christian Ministry, which runs the largest regular pantry in the area out of its Crisis Center at 246 Country Club Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025. It is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a second window on Thursday evenings from 3:30 to 6:00 PM specifically for people who work during the day.
Food comes pre-bagged, and both drive-thru and walk-up are welcome, so not having a car does not disqualify you at this location. Two rules to plan around: you need to be a Cabarrus County or Kannapolis city resident, and the pantry can be used once every calendar month.

CCM also supplies a set of church-run satellite pantries across the county, each setting its own hours. Cupboard of Love at Westford Methodist Church in Concord is open Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, or until the first 25 families have been served, so arrive early. Helping Hands at Bethel Baptist Church in Kannapolis runs Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, drive-up. North Kannapolis Baptist Church opens Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. West Point Baptist Church in Kannapolis opens Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Feed the Souls at Bethel Church of Midland runs the second Saturday of the month, 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
CCM also runs a mobile pantry that rotates through host churches around Concord and Kannapolis. The mobile distributions are the easiest door to walk through: no appointment and no documentation are needed. Registration happens on site and collects household basics, with a limit of one per household. Dates move month to month and can be cancelled for weather, so check the current schedule before driving out.

The Salvation Army of Cabarrus County operates its Concord Corps at 216 Patterson Ave SE, with office hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, closed for lunch from noon to 1:00 PM. One honest caveat: the Corps does not publish separate food pantry days and hours, so call ahead at (704) 782-7822 rather than assuming the office window is the pantry window.
For CCM's drive-thru, bring something that shows you live in Cabarrus County or the city of Kannapolis. For CCM's mobile distributions, bring nothing at all, since no ID and no paperwork are required. For the church satellite pantries, requirements vary, so a phone call or a first visit with an ID in the glovebox is the safe approach. Bring your own bags or a box if you can, and if you are picking up for a household of five rather than one, say so at registration.
Every location above assumes a neighbor can reach it. For a lot of Concord households, seniors, the homebound, and families down to one car that leaves for work at six, that assumption is exactly where the system breaks. Solo Faith Church runs its own free pantry alongside both weekend services at 587 Old Charlotte Rd SW, Concord, NC 28027, and delivers groceries free of charge, supported by DoorDash, to households that cannot travel. No paperwork at the door.
Hours and rules do change. Confirm current details with Cooperative Christian Ministry before heading out, and call before you travel.

Community Support Note: This guide is part of Solo Faith Church's community journalism initiative to help neighbors across Concord and Cabarrus County find the resources they need. Pantry locations, hours and eligibility rules were taken from the published websites of Cooperative Christian Ministry and The Salvation Army of Cabarrus County and were accurate as of August 2026. This is not independent on-site reporting, and hours change. Solo Faith Church has no formal relationship with either organization; details about Solo Faith's own pantry and delivery program come from the congregation directly. Call before you travel.
