Assault On A Child, With A Deadly Weapon Arrest Made In Cornelius

Cornelius police charged Matthew Alan Seese, 25, with crimes including assault of a child under 12 and assault with a deadly weapon.

CORNELIUS, NC — A 25-year-old man was arrested in Cornelius last week, charged with a list of crimes that included assault on a child under 12, assault with a deadly weapon, communicating threats and injury to personal property, according to Cornelius Police.

According to CPD’s arrest blotter, Matthew Alan Seese was arrested Feb. 7 in the 8000 block of Creek Train Lane. Seese was one of four arrests made last week in Cornelius.

Last week, 16 incidents were reported, including 11 vehicle break-ins in Cornelius, and two vehicle larcenies, CPD said.

Cornelius officers issued 47 citations last week, 22 of which were for speeding-related offenses. Five people were cited for driving without a seatbelt, and eight cited for driving with expired registration and tags.
