Man Arrested On Birthday, Charged With DWI, Possession: CPD
A 60-year-old man was busted for drunk driving and marijuana possession on his birthday in Cornelius last week.
CORNELIUS, NC — Cornelius police nabbed three drunk drivers last week and arrested a 40 year-old woman for shoplifting, according to the most recent police blotter.
Curtis McCoy Campbell, 60, was arrested March 14 — his birthday — and charged with driving while impaired and possession of marijuana.
One day later, Steven Patrick Duis, 53, was arrested for DWI and driving with an open container. Mary Anne Heim, 32, was stopped March 17 and charged with DWI and resisting a public officer.

Cornelius officers issued 36 citations last week, including one for misdemeanor child abuse and a dozen speeding tickets.
Police received seven crime reports from the community, including an armed robbery at Circle K, located at 18635 Old Statesville Road on March 17.

Three cases of fraud and three larcenies were also reported, CPD said.
