Town Of Cornelius: New Instructions For Trash, Yard Waste

CORNELIUS, NC — To slow the spread of the new coronavirus, the Town of Cornelius has suspended yard waste collection and is making a request of its residents regarding trash collection.

People are being asked to double bag any potentially contaminated waste and leave all waste in a garbage or recycling cart.

"Items left outside of the carts will not be collected," the town said. The changes went into effect March 23.

Cornelius’ solid waste service provider, Republic Services, will continue to collect recycling and garbage on its regular schedule.

Republic Services said any schedule changes would be noted on its service alerts web page, which may be found here.
