More Rain Before Veterans Day: Lake Norman Weekend Forecast

DAVIDSON, NC — Enjoy the sunshine today because tomorrow there will be rain. While the forecast sounds like an ominous message from a fortune cookie, the weekend will shape up to be a mild end of the week with crisp fall temperatures.

Rain is expected to move into the region overnight Wednesday evening, and could stick around into Thursday, according to forecasters. Friday, however, showers are likely for most of the day.

Sunny skies and mild temperatures peaking in the low 50s return Saturday and Sunday, just in time for Veterans Day.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. East southeast wind around 6 mph.
Tonight
A 40 percent chance of rain, mainly between 10pm and 5am. Cloudy, with a low around 53. Calm wind becoming north northeast 5 to 8 mph in the evening. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Thursday (Nov. 8)
A slight chance of rain before 7am, then a chance of rain after 8am. Cloudy, with a high near 60. Northeast wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Thursday Night
A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 49. Northeast wind around 9 mph. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Friday (Nov. 9)
Showers likely, mainly before 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 56. Northeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
