• Gunman Dies in Standoff with Bladen Deputies (columbuscountynews.com) — Elizabethtown residents should know the police department is temporarily closed while crews repair damage after a man allegedly fired multiple shots at the building and town vehicles, then was fatally wounded in a shootout with deputies. The SBI is investigating, and town officials say legal action will follow as they work to restore municipal property.
