2. 12-year-old boy, man identified as 2 killed in crash on NC 87 in Cumberland County (cbs17.com) ā A deadly crash on NC 87 just south of Fayetteville killed a 12-year-old boy and a 41-year-old man from Fayetteville after their car overturned and hit another vehicle head-on. The Subaru driver survived with non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. State troopers say neither speed nor alcohol contributed to the wreck.

Board-certified therapist Katie Walters, who grew up in Fayetteville, leads twice-weekly sessions funded by a local arts grant.
