• Johnston County man who shot at woman before high-speed chase gets federal sentence (cbs17.com) — A Garner woman was shot at while stopped at Veterans Parkway and N.C. 50, sparking a 100‑mph multi‑county chase that ended on Jones Sausage Road. The convicted felon responsible, Murad Terrall Taylor of Garner, has now received more than 11 years in federal prison, on top of lengthy state sentences, after joint work by Johnston County and federal authorities.
