• Wayne County Board of Education 2026-2027 Monthly Meeting Schedule (goldsborodailynews.com) — Wayne County Public Schools has set its 2026–2027 Board of Education meeting dates, with sessions held at WCPS Central Services on East Royall Avenue in Goldsboro. Monthly meetings begin in July, typically start at 3:30 p.m., and are open to the public in person, via YouTube Live, and on Spectrum Channel 18.
   

• Forest Service annual seedling sale begins July 1 (rrspin.com) — Goldsboro residents can order tree seedlings now and even pick them up at the NC Forest Service’s Claridge Nursery on Claridge Nursery Road in town. The annual statewide sale offers more than 40 species, from Christmas tree varieties to wildlife-friendly hardwoods, in quantities from small backyard orders to large reforestation projects. Orders can be placed online, by phone, or by mail.
