On Wednesday, December 1st, 2021, The Guilford County Division of Public Health (GCDPH) Sexual Health Action Group (SHAG) will provide free HIV and STI testing out of the Public Health Mobile Unit in observance of World AIDS Day.

With this testing event, the SHAG hopes to honor the more than 36 million people who have died from AIDS-related illness globally, bring attention to the HIV epidemic, speak out against HIV stigma, and call for an increased response to move toward ending the HIV epidemic in Guilford County.
Testing will take place in the parking lot of the Greensboro Public Health Department (1100 E Wendover Ave. Greensboro, NC 27405) from 10 AM – 2 PM.

Services will include free and confidential testing for:
- HIV
- Syphilis
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
Food and incentives will be available for all participants. Individuals are not required to provide identification or payment to receive testing.
According to the 2020 North Carolina HIV Surveillance Report, since December 2020 in Guilford County:
- Approximately 2,648 people have been diagnosed with HIV
- Approximately 968 people diagnosed with AIDS (Stage 3)
