One Greensboro man was killed and several others wounded in the incident, prompting increased police presence in hot spot areas and a city-backed push to suspend the club's liquor license.

Memorial plan set for North Carolina A&T student who saved sister in Lake Norman (wxii12.com) — Greensboro residents are being invited to honor 21-year-old North Carolina A&T student Dorian Jackson, who died saving his younger sister on Lake Norman. A viewing is planned Saturday at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home on East Market Street, with visitation and funeral services Sunday at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church on MLK Drive. His family is remembering him as a devoted brother and selfless hero.
   

4. Greensboro families honor homicide victims at National Day of Remembrance ceremony (abc45.com) — Families in Greensboro gathered at the downtown Memorial Garden to honor hundreds of local homicide victims during the National Day of Remembrance, including the city's most recent victim. Loved ones placed flowers and candles by photos, shared stories, and leaned on support from the Family Justice Center and Greensboro police victim services. Organizers hope to make this powerful ceremony an annual tradition.
   

5. Martin shares life and leadership lessons at UNC Greensboro (peacemakeronline.com) — Students at UNC Greensboro recently heard wellness entrepreneur and philanthropist Demond T. Martin share how mentorship, friendships and courage shaped his path from poverty to the White House and Wall Street. Speaking on campus as part of the UNCG Connects series, he urged Spartans to seek internships, build strong circles of support, and remember they belong in intimidating spaces.
