2. 800+ Cyclists Expected Overnight In Henderson On Oct. 4 For 2026 'Mountains To Coast' Ride (wizs.com) ā Hundreds of cyclists will roll into Henderson on Oct. 6 for an overnight stop on Cycle North Carolinaās Mountains to Coast ride, camping at Aycock Rec Center or staying in local motels. Shuttle buses will carry visitors into downtown Henderson for dinner and exploring, giving local businesses a short but significant tourism boost as riders from 38 states and abroad pass through.

Library dedicates new meeting room (hendersondispatch.com) ā Perry Memorial Library in Henderson has opened the Ann Rowland Nicholson Room, a small high-tech meeting space on the second floor that residents can reserve. Seating six and equipped with a 75-inch wireless display plus furnishings and artwork from Nicholsonās home, the room honors a longtime local educator and library supporter while expanding public gathering options for Vance County.

Roundup: Oxford Prep's Fairey wins TNAC golf tourney (hendersondispatch.com) ā Local sports fans will note that Oxford Prepās Summer Fairey captured the Triangle North Athletic Conference golf title with a 97 at Henderson Country Club, edging her nearest rival by one stroke.
