Huntersville's week kicks off with sunny skies and highs of nearly 70, but that will all change by the weekend when snow hits the forecast.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — The work week will kick off Monday in Huntersville with sunny skies and highs of nearly 70, but conditions will drastically change by the weekend when the possibility of the region’s first snow of the season hits the forecast. That's the word from the National Weather Service and other area forecasting outlets.
By Saturday night, Huntersville has an 80 percent chance of freezing rain and snow, which will carry over into Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
Here’s the National Weather Service forecast for the week ahead:Today (Dec. 3)
Mostly sunny, with a high near 66. West southwest wind 3 to 5 mph.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. Calm wind becoming north northwest 5 to 7 mph in the evening.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 51. North wind around 5 mph.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. North wind 3 to 5 mph.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 47. Northwest wind 3 to 8 mph.
