The work week is off to a gloomy start but there will be plenty of sunshine later in the week. Here's your forecast for the week.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — The work week may be off to a gloomy, slightly chilly start, but the Charlotte-metro area has plenty of sunshine and warmer temperatures to look forward to later this week, the National Weather Service says.
Monday’s rain and drizzle will turn into patchy fog by Tuesday morning, forecasters say. Drier conditions are expected by Wednesday, as temperatures continue to warm up. While the highs on Monday are only expected to reach the low 50s, by week’s end they will creep up to the high 70s and low 80s.
