HUNTERSVILLE, NC — All visits to fire stations in Huntersville are temporarily suspended for a month as coronavirus continues to sweep the nation.
Huntersville Fire Department responds to medical calls, and while firefighters use recommended personal protective gear, said the decision was out of caution to protect the health of potential visitors.
“Following expert, public health guidance and recommendations regarding COVID-19, we (HFD) are cancelling all fire station visits, including previously arranged visits until mid-April,” HFD said. “This is an extra, protective measure to ensure our friends, neighbors and community members remain safe and healthy.”
