ICYMI: ‘Cone Weed’ Now Has Its Own Christmas Song
Huntersville's weed growing through an orange traffic cone is decorated for Christmas and now has its own song.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- The festive spirit surrounding a weed growing up through an orange traffic cone alongside a back road in Huntersville continues to build. First, someone festooned the random roadside vegetation in tinsel. Then came lights, wrapped presents, a Christmas yard sign and a T-shirt design.
By Wednesday morning, “Cone Weed” had its own song, thanks to Charlotte-based country singer David Britt.
The wacky weed sits across the road from the Huntersville Fire Station on Beatties Ford Road. "The 'Cone Weed' which has been growing all year (located across BFR from Station 2) has been decorated for the season!" Huntersville Fire Department tweeted recently. "We may or may not know who did this...it's not on our property - so we're not talking, but it's AMAZING!"
