• Harris Teeter Plans $253 Million Charlotte-Area Investment (foodtradenews.com) — Huntersville's Harris Teeter is among the stores slated for upgrades as the grocer pours $253 million into renovations and new locations across the Charlotte region over the next three years. Local shoppers can expect improvements like expanded fresh and prepared foods, better layouts, and faster pickup and delivery, with phased work and grand reopening celebrations beginning this fall.
   

• This new play space coming to the Charlotte area will feature a cafe and drop-off (heraldonline.com) — A new 15,000-square-foot KidzNova indoor playground is starting construction on Huntersville-Concord Road, bringing party spaces, a café, and drop-off services right to Huntersville families. Expected to open in spring, it's one of the first tenants in Vermillion Village and aims to fill a gap in Lake Norman-area options for young kids' play and birthday parties.
