• STRecruiting: USC takes advantage of an additional year of eligibility to sign former App State DB Ethan Johnson (sportstalksc.com) — A former Huntersville resident, defensive back Ethan Johnson, just landed a spot on the University of South Carolina football roster thanks to an extra year of NCAA eligibility. Johnson, a standout at Appalachian State, earned multiple All-Sun Belt honors and compiled more than 140 tackles and 26 passes defended over four seasons.
