Weekend Construction Project To Shift I-77 Traffic For Months

HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- Drivers in the Lake Norman area should expect a traffic shift this weekend as part of ongoing construction on Interstate 77, according to the project manager.

Traffic will shift toward the median of I-77 near Exit 23 for about 2,000 feet, in both northbound and southbound directions. The lane shifts will occur 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18 and Saturday, Aug. 19.

“This traffic shift will be in place for approximately four months,” I-77 Mobility Partners said.
