• Stars, Stripes, and Sounds festival brings 100+ musicians and Marine bands to Jacksonville (wcti12.com) — Jacksonville residents can look forward to a free Stars, Stripes, and Sounds festival on June 14 from 4–8 p.m. at the Jacksonville Commons Festival Grounds, celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. More than 100 musicians, including Marine bands, will perform alongside food trucks, vendors, military and history displays, and a beer garden, with support from local and military partners. 
• Carolina Museum of the Marine prepares to open after decades of planning (wcti12.com) — A long-planned Carolina Museum of the Marine is finally set to open to the public at 10 a.m. on June 8, spotlighting Marines’ history and deep ties to Jacksonville and Camp Lejeune. Visitors will see interactive exhibits, historic artifacts like a pioneering Huey helicopter, and stories showing how military service has shaped the local community.
